July 2010 -- Will it last through the summer? -- American pop music star Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand became engaged in late 2009, so that is not news. Ms Perry recently explained that she sent Russell Brand telepathic, subliminal messages in order to achieve her engagement to him. The 'California Gurls' singer now tells the world that she constantly communicated to Brand telepathically placing the idea of asking him to ask the marriage question in his mind.
"Every night we looked into each other's eyes and I was thinking, 'Please ask me, please ask me'," she announced. "So all the time we'd been sending each other subliminal messages!," said Perry. |

| Ms Perry also explained a more intimate detail of the formerly elusive Mr Brand: Brand reciprocated to her thoughts with the same intensity. In short, unbeknownst to each other, they were simultaneously sending the same message. "Then, when we finally talked about the idea of getting married, he admitted he was thinking the same – he'd been trying to tell me that I was the woman he wanted to marry by communicating it with his eyes," Ms Perry reported. The couple has been dating since 2007, and after Bloom made it known he had proposed, Kerr's family was ecstatic. A representative for Kerr tells People.com, "The entire Kerr family is thrilled with the news. It is a very exciting time for both of them." |
