Fall 2008 - Italian-born American actress Rose McGowan announces her engagement to Robert Rodriguez. Mr Rodriguez is an American director, writer, producer, cinematographer, editor and musician. His filmmaking specialty is low budget, high profit films. Ms McGowan explained the couple met while filming Planet Terror. They plan to marry in 2009. At the time of their engagement the romantic pair were working together in the remake of the films Red Sonja and Barbarella.

November 2008 - American pop singer Fergie and actor Josh Duhamel have started to plan their wedding for the summer of 2009. Since becoming engaged, the popular engaged couple were content to be just that -- an engaged couple. Until recently, Ms Fergie had not begun wedding plans in earnest. In the fall of 2008, she began to interview wedding planners and began to work with legendary Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld on her wedding dress.

November 2008 - Former child star and American actor Corey Haim announces his engagement to B-movie fright actress, Tiffany Shepis. The couple plan a May 2009 wedding -- if they last that long. They met a dozen years ago on the set of a movie, Fever Lake. They met again most recently at the Chiller Theatre convention in New Jersey.

February 2012: American actress, Scarlet Johannson, divorced actor Ryan Reynolds during 2011. Yet, in an interview in late 2011, Ms Johansson stated she has no regrets about the failed marriage. The couple was together for two years. She said, "It was the best thing I ever did. I'm a big believer in instinct. Getting married was the right thing to do because it was natural."

"It grew out of romance and love and a desire to have a future with somebody, and I was very fortunate that I married somebody who turned out to be the person I thought he would be," Ms Johansson added.
