Fall 2008 - Pop Singer and American actress Hilary Duff has joined in the chorus of young celebrities who make news by denying wedding and engagement rumors. Typically, it appears the international press will watch a young star begin to date then like clockwork at the one month point, feel it's fair game to start to shout engagement rumors. This is not exactly an unpleasant turning point for celebrities who find it an easy way to stay in the gossip news without the stigma of bad news. Is Hilary Duff among them? Hard to say but she is currently denying her engagement to ice hockey player Mike Comrie.

Fall 2008 - American actor and six pack surfer dude, Matthew McConaughey has asked Camila Alves to marry him. The couple have a son named Levi together. Matt wants Camila to design her own engagement ring, though he's been hunting for the diamond himself. The good looking couple plan to have a beach wedding at sunset, and while they haven't set a date just yet, Matthew apparently hopes to tie the knot by Christmas 2008. Why not get married on a surfboard?

Fall 2008 - American actress Jennifer Love Hewitt and her fiance Ross McCall have talked about the details of their upcoming wedding here and there, but have yet to set anything in stone. Ms Love Hewitt hosted the AIDS Project Los Angeles' annual Oscar viewing party at the Abbey, a West Hollywood gay bar in 2008. Her hit television show, The Ghost Whisperer was just picked up for an addiitional season so she is a little busy.

February 2012: American actress, Scarlet Johannson, divorced actor Ryan Reynolds during 2011. Yet, in an interview in late 2011, Ms Johansson stated she has no regrets about the failed marriage. The couple was together for two years. She said, "It was the best thing I ever did. I'm a big believer in instinct. Getting married was the right thing to do because it was natural."

"It grew out of romance and love and a desire to have a future with somebody, and I was very fortunate that I married somebody who turned out to be the person I thought he would be," Ms Johansson added.
