Fall 2008 - Pop star Beyonce Knowles comments on the details of her summer wedding to music mogul Jay Z. The ‘Crazy In Love’ hitmaker, who had said previously, “What Jay and I have is real” earlier, opened up about her covert wedding after much moaning. "You're gonna get me in trouble,” People Magazine quoted Beyonce, as telling Essence magazine. "People put too much emphasis on that. It's just material and it's just silly to me,” Beyonce said. Ms Knowles revealed that putting unnecessary emphasis on the engagement ring is not her style. She claims she is much more low key than that. In fact, two nights before their wedding, Beyonce, Jay Z and their friends had dinner at a most unpretentious pizza place, Lucali, in Brooklyn on a very quiet street in the Carrol Gardens neighborhood.

Fall 2008 - Wedding rumors coincide with Las Vegas performance. Hip hop stars Rihanna and Mr Chris Brown had been dating quietly for some time when rumors of a Vegas wedding began to appear in celebrity tabloids. A strong rumor is that the couple will marry in mid October 2008 in Las Vegas. Friends and family of the Rihanna and Mr Brown are being flown in to the Nevada vacation and gambler's paradise with some coming from as far away as the Barbados, Rihanna's home country. On October 17, the following performers are expected to perform at the Planet Hollywood Resort Theatre: Jusitn Timberlake, Rihanna, 50 Cent, Boyz II Men, the Jonas Brothers, Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and Leona Lewis.
