Fall 2008 - American actress Carmen Electra and Rob Patterson are planning a wedding. Mr Patterson is the former touring guitarist for Korn, a grunge band. The rocker popped the question to the former Baywatch star in Las Vegas while celebrating Ms Electra's 36th birthday. The prospective groom offered her a black diamond engagement ring. "It's . . . perfect for us," Electra gushed. "Different – it's our style." The couple first met 8 years ago. They began to date in 2007. Carmen Electra is famous for her body and her wild relationships.

Fall 2008 - Professional tennis champion Andy Roddick and his model girlfriend Brooklyn Decker became officially engaged in 2008. The Grand Slam winner popped the question in early March 2008. The couple met in New York City in 2007. Ms Decker is a model who has appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. Mr Roddick has spent the last decade as the best player on the professional tennis circuit and has enjoyed international celebrity as the cream of the crop of the tennis world.

Fall 2008 - One of the most handsome couples in all of Hollywood Celebrityland, Josh Duhamel and Stacy "Fergie" Ferguson plan to marry. Ms Ferguson is an American rock star and lead singer in the band Black Eyed Peas. She put out a set of her own recordings, a CD, an album, whatever, titled Fergielicious and it was a smash hit. Ferguson and Duhamel met when she and her band appeared on Duhamel's American television show Las Vegas. Duhamel has financial interests beyond acting; his restaurant 10 North Main, is located in his hometown, downtown Minot, North Dakota.

brady with giselle bundchen January 2009 - [Updated from earlier entry December 2008] - Injured NFL quarterback Tom Brady proposed marriage to his girlfriend of two years, internationally known fashion model Giselle Bundchen on Christmas eve 2008. He proposed in a private plane filled with white roses and champagne. Brady asked Ms Bundchen the question with her parents in attendance. Mr Brady, who is 31-years old, proposed after their jet took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on a flight bound for Boston. He had to act quickly, that is a quarterback under the time pressure of a short flight. Ms Bundchen's parents are Vania and Valdir Bundchen. Exact wedding ceremony plans have not been announced. Press speculation ranges from NYC (unlikely) to Costa Rica where Ms Bundchen owns a vacation home (makes much more sense). Updated: This story may be a rumor, stay tuned.
