Bristol Palin, once merely the daughter of the Alaskan Governor, sprung to national prominence when her mother, Sarah Palin, ran as the Republican Vice Presidential candidate in the Fall of 2008. Bristol Palin became pregnant with Levi Johnstons' child in the Spring of 2008 as a 17-year old high school senior. Mr Johnstons is a former high school hockey player and during the 2008 American Presidential campaign, Sarah Palin, became the world's most famous hockey mom.

Fall 2008 - American pop and country singer Jessica Simpson and NFL Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo may be planning a winter wedding for the 2008 - 2009 season. They were discovered in Dallas some weeks earlier checking out engagement rings in a Neiman Marcus jewelry counter. Simpson is in the middle of a Do You Know promotional tour and Mr Romo is currently in the middle of the NFL American football season.

brady with giselle bundchen January 2009 - [Updated from earlier entry December 2008] - Injured NFL quarterback Tom Brady proposed marriage to his girlfriend of two years, internationally known fashion model Giselle Bundchen on Christmas eve 2008. He proposed in a private plane filled with white roses and champagne. Brady asked Ms Bundchen the question with her parents in attendance. Mr Brady, who is 31-years old, proposed after their jet took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on a flight bound for Boston. He had to act quickly, that is a quarterback under the time pressure of a short flight. Ms Bundchen's parents are Vania and Valdir Bundchen. Exact wedding ceremony plans have not been announced. Press speculation ranges from NYC (unlikely) to Costa Rica where Ms Bundchen owns a vacation home (makes much more sense). Updated: This story may be a rumor, stay tuned.
