Beyonce Knowles married music artist and producer Jay Z in New York during the summer of 2008. They married in a quiet ceremony attended by family and friends. September 2008 - Hollywood - Newlyweds Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi recently divulged that they turned down offers from singers George Michael and Justin Timberlake to sing at their summer wedding.

Instead they chose to have Joshua Radin, a little known singer, perform. Justin Timberlake even offered to write a new song just for the ladies! Imagine turning that down! Mr Justin Timberlake offers to write you a song for your wedding and you turn them down! Wow!

Fall 2008 - American Actress Singer Oscar Winner Jennifer Hudson announced her engagement recently. When asked by an entertainment industry reporter about the type of wedding she would like she said that she says she wants a wedding that will be her idea of perfection. Hudson says she wants it to be so over the top that she'll be 80 years old and people will still be raving about it. Hudson's engagement is to David Otunga, a reality televsion star. Ms Hudson admits that she has no clue how to plan a wedding. We say, give it time, after 3 or 4 of them, it's a breeze!

January 2009 - [Updated from earlier entry December 2008] - Injured NFL quarterback Tom Brady proposed marriage to his girlfriend of two years, internationally known fashion model Giselle Bundchen on Christmas eve 2008. He proposed in a private plane filled with white roses and champagne. Brady asked Ms Bundchen the question with her parents in attendance. Mr Brady, who is 31-years old, proposed after their jet took off from Teterboro Airport in New Jersey on a flight bound for Boston. He had to act quickly, that is a quarterback under the time pressure of a short flight. Ms Bundchen's parents are Vania and Valdir Bundchen. Exact wedding ceremony plans have not been announced. Press speculation ranges from NYC (unlikely) to Costa Rica where Ms Bundchen owns a vacation home (makes much more sense). Updated: This story may be a rumor, stay tuned.
