But it is really a much better wedding reception if you have an emcee -- someone live to move the reception around. If you still need to shave off a little money, hire Uncle Ernie! He works cheap! If you don't have a favorite Aunt or Uncle who loves the spotlight and the microphone, then hire a Wedding Event Emcee to move the wedding reception events around and forward. The Emcee will be a fraction of the cost of a full blown out live band and you'll get a lot more for your wedding budget than you could have imagined!

You can create a series of slow songs and then let the party get more and more excited with the more rock out music choices. With the type of exact control the bride and groom can exert over the digital libraries of music, the couple can save a bundle by preparing the digital playlists themselves!

Make sure to ask your wedding planner or prospective DJ if they can accommodate your ipods during the wedding reception. Don't be surprised if the DJ informs you that you'll have to pay music royalties on the music you want to play at the reception.

Breaking Wedding News!

July 2010 -- Will it last through the summer? -- American pop music star Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand became engaged in late 2009, so that is not news. Ms Perry recently explained that she sent Russell Brand telepathic, subliminal messages in order to achieve her engagement to him. The 'California Gurls' singer now tells the world that she constantly communicated to Brand telepathically placing the idea of asking him to ask the marriage question in his mind.

"Every night we looked into each other's eyes and I was thinking, 'Please ask me, please ask me'," she announced. "So all the time we'd been sending each other subliminal messages!," said Perry. Ms Perry also explained a more intimate detail of the formerly elusive Mr Brand: Brand reciprocated to her thoughts with the same intensity. In short, unbeknownst to each other, they were

simultaneously sending the same message. "Then, when we finally talked about the idea of getting married, he admitted he was thinking the same – he'd been trying to tell me that I was the woman he wanted to marry by communicating it with his eyes," Ms Perry reported. Scientific studies to follow in 2011. File: Katy Perry, Russell Brand engaged
