"It has never been easier to find help when planning your wedding music. With iTunes, everyone is a Music Director!

Brides and grooms will be surprised at just how few songs will actually become part of the wedding reception set list. Yes, we said how few!

If you played all the songs listed on this one page, for example, (see our list of the top 30 wedding music below), and if you played them back to back in their original recordings, they would last over one hour!

In a typical wedding reception, there are so many obligatory ceremonies, the cutting of the cake, the introduction of the married couple, the Father Daughter Mother Son dances, the throwing of the garter, the wedding toast by the best man . . . . that actual dance time at a wedding reception is less than two hours!

The typical set list or playlist at a wedding is going to be less than 40 songs! You can come up with that easy -- and we're leaving out the hokey pokey, the chicken dance and the macrarena!

Breaking Wedding News!

July 2010 -- Will it last through the summer? -- American pop music star Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand became engaged in late 2009, so that is not news. Ms Perry recently explained that she sent Russell Brand telepathic, subliminal messages in order to achieve her engagement to him. The 'California Gurls' singer now tells the world that she constantly communicated to Brand telepathically placing the idea of asking him to ask the marriage question in his mind.

"Every night we looked into each other's eyes and I was thinking, 'Please ask me, please ask me'," she announced. "So all the time we'd been sending each other subliminal messages!," said Perry. Ms Perry also explained a more intimate detail of the formerly elusive Mr Brand: Brand reciprocated to her thoughts with the same intensity. In short, unbeknownst to each other, they were

simultaneously sending the same message. "Then, when we finally talked about the idea of getting married, he admitted he was thinking the same – he'd been trying to tell me that I was the woman he wanted to marry by communicating it with his eyes," Ms Perry reported. Scientific studies to follow in 2011. File: Katy Perry, Russell Brand engaged
