The music has to be right for your wedding. No, you CANNOT spend TOO MUCH TIME planning the perfect music so come and see our ideas.

Of course you can interview professional DJs to program the music for your wedding. It's relatively easy to pay a visit to another couple's wedding to audition the DeeJay you are considering hiring. You can also watch videos and listen to playlists.

You can also spend days and nights researching live wedding bands, then visiting their live performances or watch their promotional videos. There are so many bands out there -- maybe you could try to attend some of the Wedding Band Showcases that take place every few months in cities all over the USA, Canada and England and the United Kingdom.

Every band today will have a website and samples of their sounds downloadable right off the internet. It's never been easier to select the music choices and get good ideas for your wedding!

While it has never been easier to find some wedding music ideas, it has also never been so confusing. So many choices can be frustrating, overwhelming and cause an earnest bride and groom to become exhausted and depressed. So here is a little advice for figuring out the best wedding ideas for your wedding reception: Do the math! If you are hosting a four-hour wedding reception, you'll want light music for the first 45-60 minutes while your guests settle in to the reception hall. Then the newly married couple and wedding party gets introduced and has their first dance, followed by the Father Daughter Mother Son dance. Light music follows for another 45-60 minutes while the meal is served and eaten. The wedding toast by the best man kicks off the dancing at the wedding reception and what follows is a full hour of dancing! You can only fit 15-20 songs in during the hour, and that's not overwhelming. Half of them should be the bride's favorites and the other half are favorites of the groom. Then you slow it down for 15 minutes, that's 3-5 songs, not too much to choose. Then it's smooth sailing for another 30 minutes and the reception concludes! We hope that breakdown helps!

Breaking Wedding News!

July 2010 -- Will it last through the summer? -- American pop music star Katy Perry and British comedian Russell Brand became engaged in late 2009, so that is not news. Ms Perry recently explained that she sent Russell Brand telepathic, subliminal messages in order to achieve her engagement to him. The 'California Gurls' singer now tells the world that she constantly communicated to Brand telepathically placing the idea of asking him to ask the marriage question in his mind.

"Every night we looked into each other's eyes and I was thinking, 'Please ask me, please ask me'," she announced. "So all the time we'd been sending each other subliminal messages!," said Perry. Ms Perry also explained a more intimate detail of the formerly elusive Mr Brand: Brand reciprocated to her thoughts with the same intensity. In short, unbeknownst to each other, they were

simultaneously sending the same message. "Then, when we finally talked about the idea of getting married, he admitted he was thinking the same – he'd been trying to tell me that I was the woman he wanted to marry by communicating it with his eyes," Ms Perry reported. Scientific studies to follow in 2011. File: Katy Perry, Russell Brand engaged
