| My fiancé REALLY does not want to dance to a slow song as our First Dance. I say it's tradition and it HAS to be SLOW. |
Tradition is just a guideline for couples to follow. Tradition is not a mandate and couples are free to add on to or adjust 'tradition' to suit their own needs and lifestyles.
If your man does not want to dance fast as a First Dance, then why start off the marriage making him miserable?
You can compromise on a budget. Choose two songs you both like: one fast and one slower. Hire a professional DJ to start off with the faster song, then transition it professionally to move into the slower tempo song. After your fiance has become comfortable dancing to the faster beat for a minute or two, you can finish off the First Dance your way, with a warm intimate embrace and a few steps to the slow song that you love. The crowd will love the transition and your husband will be so happy that you accommodated him!
